Remove the Probe protection cap. Press the [Power] button. Insert the probe into the ear and press the [Measure] button. If it detects temperature above 37.6°C (or 99.7°F), 3 short beeps will follow the 1 long beep, and display will light up orange. The device automatically turns off if no button is pressed for 30 seconds.
