Brufen oral suspension contains Ibuprofen 20mg/ml, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID).

For adults and children older than 12 years (≥ 40kg): 20ml initially. 10-20ml may be taken every 4 hours when needed. Do not take more than 60ml (1200mg) in 24 hours. The daily dosage of Brufen® for children is 20-30mg/kg of bodyweight in divided doses:
Age : Weight : Daily dosing (per 24 hours)
6-12 months : 7-10 kg : 2.5ml; 3 times/day
1-2 years : 10-14.5 kg : 2.5ml; 3-4 times/day
3-7 years : 14.5-25 kg : 5ml; 3-4 times/day
8-12 years: 25-40 kg : 10ml; 3-4 times/day

Warnings
Ibuprofen may be associated with a small increased risk of heart attack or stroke. Any risk is more likely with high doses (2400mg daily) or prolonged treatment. Do not exceed the recommended dose and duration. Taking NSAIDs at about 20 weeks of pregnancy or later may harm your unborn baby.
Talk to your doctor/pharmacist before starting Brufen if you have/are:
• Fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, sucroseisomaltase
insufficiency. Brufen® contains sucrose, which should be
taken into consideration in patients with diabetes.
• History of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation
• Asthma, chronic rhinitis, heart, liver or kidney diseases, heart
failure, uncontrolled high blood pressure (HBP), dehydration
• Taking medications for HBP, heart diseases or are on blood thinners
• As with other NSAIDs, Brufen® can mask symptoms of
underlying infections
