This product is a freeze-dried kefir starter with added calcium for making DIY/homemade kefir.
Formulated in Japan.
Contains 4 strains of lactic acid bacteria and 3 types of yeast with added calcium.
* Kefir made with YO! KEEFI YO! contains ~ 18% more calcium than cow milk, plus billions of healthy live microbes.
* Fully natural kefir.
* Does not contain common additives used in store-bought yoghurts such as acid enhancers, thickeners, flavouring, added sugar or sweeteners.
* You are in full control of whatever ingredients go into creating your kefir.
* Has a clean, fresh and bubbly taste.
* Not as thick or sour as store-bought Greek yoghurt; therefore does not require sugar or sweeteners to hide the sour taste.
* Less sour taste preferred by young children and older adults.

Directions
Add 1 sachet of YO! KEEFI YO! to cow milk and leave it to let its live microorganisms transform it into kefir (also works with goat, camel, or soya milk). Take a 500–1000 ml carton of milk, let it reach room temperature (~25∘C), open if needed, pour in the sachet, close, and gently shake about 10 times. Leave in a warm place (~25∘C) for 24–36 hours without shaking or stirring. Check if curds have formed and adjust fermentation for desired sourness or thickness, then refrigerate. Enjoy plain, with toppings, or as a smoothie; can be kept in the fridge for 1 week.
