If you’re looking for a messy, spiral effect, try the twisting method. First, towels dry your hair until it’s damp, comb out the tangles and part your hair into two sides. After that, twist half of your hair like until it is tightly twisted, somewhat like making a top knot bun. Use a small clip to pin the twist on top of your head, and repeat the same to the other half of hair. Wait for the hair to get dry, which will usually take about 6 hours, then remove the clip and you will get the desired look.

Braids are an easy and nice way to style your hair; in fact, braiding can also give your hair natural waves. First, wash and condition your hair as usual, gently comb out any tangles and pat your hair dry with a towel. Now your hair should be still damp but no longer dripping wet, part your hair down the middle and braid the two sections into two pigtails tightly. Then just wait till the hair dry, you can even go to bed with your hair in braids. When your hair is dry, loosen the braids, gently run your fingers through your hair. Voila! A natural-looking wavy hairstyle is done.

Simple tools like rollers can also help you create curls. Easy to get from any beauty shop, big rollers will create big and lengthy curls while small ones will create small and short curls. If you want to be adventurous, you can even cut your old t-shirt into long strips and make your own rollers. After shampooing and conditioning of the hair, dry with a towel and gently comb out any tangles. Then section off a small bunch of your hair, carefully roll it up and put a roller on. Repeat sectioning and rolling until your head is covered with rollers. Leave the rollers on for about four hours till the hair dry, then gently pull out the rollers and you will have some amazing, good quality curls.
